  • DASH (Digital Access to Scholarship at Harvard) - A central, open-access repository of research by members of the Harvard community.
  • Directory of Open Access Books - Provides access to scholarly, peer-reviewed open access books.
  • Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) - Quality open access, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Europeana - Provides digital access to European cultural heritage material including artworks, books, music, and videos on art, newspapers, archaeology, fashion, science, sport, and much more.
  • HBO Kennisbank - Results of research done by Dutch Universities of Applied Science.
  • Henry Stewart Talks - More than 2,000 online seminars by leading world experts, covering biomedicine, life sciences, management, marketing, finance and many more topics.
  • J-STAGE (Japan Science and Technology Information Aggregator, Electronic) - Leading scholarly e-journals from Japan. Developed by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
  • JSTOR Open Community Collections - Provides access to artworks, photographs, publications, recordings, and other artifacts available from libraries, museums, archives, and historical societies around the world.
  • LibreTexts - Provides access to more than 2,000 open educational resources (OER) created by instructional faculty.
  • LUNA Commons - Educational content (photographs, maps, manuscripts, books and more) from digital collections built in the Insight software from Luna Images, Inc.
  • Manuscriptorium - Provides access to historical resources (manuscripts, incunabula, early printed books, maps, charters and other types of documents) otherwise scattered in various libraries around the world.
  • Milne Open Textbooks - A catalog of open textbooks authored and peer-reviewed by SUNY faculty and staff.
  • OAIster - A catalog of 50 million plus digital open access resources.
  • OAPEN Library - Freely accessible academic books, mainly in the area of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Open Research Library - A comprehensive collection of peer-reviewed open access books.
  • Open Textbook Library -Hundreds of textbooks that have been funded, published, and licensed to be freely used, adapted, and distributed.
  • OpenStax - Free, peer-reviewed textbooks.
  • Pressbooks Directory - Provides access to over 5,000 open educational resource (OER) books published by 140+ colleges, universities, libraries, non-profits, presses, and other organizations using the Pressbooks open publishing platform.
  • SciTech Connect - Developed by the U.S. Department of Energy, SciTech Connect provides access to energy-related R&D results from the 1940s to today. NOTE: SciTech Connect is now a part of OSTI.GOV but it still labeled SciTech Connect in Discovery.
  • SSOAR (Social Science Open Access Repository) - Produced by GESIS - Leibniz-Institut für Sozialwissenschaften, SSOAR provides published documents on social sciences and related disciplines for research and educational purposes.
  • TDX (Theses and Dissertations Online) - Digital cooperative repository of doctoral theses presented at some Spanish universities.
  • USPTO - Produced by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), the federal agency responsible for granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks, the USPTO patent databases allow inventors to search existing patents and patent applications to see if a patent has already been filed or granted that is similar to their own patent.
